VIP GUIDE: How To Convert Those Zazzle Product Views to Sales
Zazzle Pro Tip: Why Your Products Aren't Converting (and How to Fix It!)
Hey Zazzle creators!
We all know how it feels to create what we believe are awesome designs and do everything right in regards to titles, tags and marketing to gain all the views and yet not be able to convert these views to sales!
It happens to the best of us. But before you throw in the towel, let's explore some reasons why your amazing products might not be converting those views into sales, and how you can turn things around.
Facing the Competition
First things first, it's all about standing out in a crowded marketplace. Take a look at the "other products" section that appears beneath yours. This is your competition! Are their designs similar to yours, but perhaps with a more attractive aesthetic or wider range of customization options? Maybe their price point is just a touch sweeter?
The good news is, you have the power to fight back! Here are some strategies to make sure your products shine:
Title Magic: Those first three words in your product title are like gold dust. Now before you get carried away this is NOT fact it is just observation, so use this information with caution. Use keywords that are unique and relevant to your design, ideally terms that your competitors aren't using. Think about incorporating your brand name or a collection name to build recognition. But be mindful – using super obscure terms might mean fewer people find your product altogether and while all your products might show up under your products in future it might also restrict your products from showing up under the products of other sellers. So in this regard it can reduce your visibility.
The Art of Visibility
As you can seem there's a bit of a balancing act when it comes to titles. While you want to be unique, you also want your products to show up in relevant searches, including those browsing similar products by your competitors.
Here are some tips to find that sweet spot:
Keyword Research is King: Spend some time researching keywords that potential customers might use to find products like yours. Zazzle itself might offer some search insights, or you can try general keyword research tools. And if you did my Ninja Niche Course you will know all about Unicorn Tags and if you can find one of those, you're set!
Think Like a Buyer: Put yourself in the shoes of your ideal customer. What words would they type into the search bar to find something like your design?
Strike a Balance: Craft titles that are specific to your product while incorporating those powerful keywords.
Beyond the Title
Don't underestimate the power of high-quality product images and detailed descriptions. Crisp, clear photos that showcase your design from multiple angles are essential. And well-written descriptions that highlight the features and benefits of your product can seal the deal for an undecided buyer.
I confess I am not entirely sure how many customers actually read our product info OR if this info is trawled by Search bots on or off Zazzle. I haven't seen anything that convinces me of the efficiacy here or if I had it 'wavered' BUT if you have the time, still invest it here because we cannot afford to miss a potential opportunity to be seen!
You can always edit descriptions at a later time of you feel you want your products listed sooner rather than later.
You may not have learned anything new here ( aside from those 3 words at the start of titles and their potential influence) because it all comes back to one thing if you're getting those views ... YOUR COMPETITION.
And for those whose titles and tags do not accurately reflect the product, the buyer is simply leaving the page when what they thought they'd find is not there.
And don't forget Zazzlers, to refine your product offerings you can head over to Amazon to see what people are buying in volume in your niche, read the reviews and learn what appeals most about that product to the buyer and very importantly WHO that buyer is.
